Pupil Premium
From September 2014, all pupils in Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 (Year 1 and Year 2) will be entitled to receive a “free school meal” through the introduction of the Government’s Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) Policy. The old style Free School Meals system whereby parents and carers receiving certain benefits is now known as “Pupil Premium”.
Under the “Pupil Premium” system, children are entitled to a large range of extra support within the school as well as a free school meal. This includes free extra-curricular clubs, music lessons, residential trips and much more. Please read our leaflet about the additional benefits on offer and to see whether you qualify.
If you think you may be eligible, please ask at the office for further details. There is a simple online application which we will be happy to assist you with or alternatively go to www.essex.gov.uk/educationawards or telephone Essex County Council on 0845 603 2200
Please go to Academy Information to see how we used the Pupil Premium funding for the last academic year and the impact this had on the achievement of pupils within this group.
