This week Willow Class begun work on "The Iron Man" by Ted Hughes. The children are really enjoying the story and will continue working on this book for the next few weeks.
In a few weeks we will have our termly DT week in Willow Class. The children will be making a model vehicle. We would really appreciate it if you could start to collect cardboard boxes and tubes in preparation for this. Many thanks.
Don't forget to buy your tickets for the Infant Music Festival on Monday March 18th.
Have a good weekend!
Willow Class really enjoyed writing Winter poems this week as a class, in pairs and individually. Some children read them out in assembly today which was fantastic.
It was wonderful to see so many of you at parent's evening. We hope you enjoyed looking at all the children's work..- they have been busy!
Homework for half term is: Spelling Logs/Times Tables Rock Stars/Transport buffet homework (due 8th March).
Have a great week!
This week the children have been learning the 4 times tables. They have a worksheet to complete by next Friday. Please also continue to use the programme Times Tables Rock Stars so the children can build up their speed on the 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 times tables.
A very big THANK YOU to all the helpers who accompanied us on our Traffic Survey last week. The children really enjoyed it and have produced some wonderful follow-up work (have a look at Parent's Evening!).
Just a reminder....
The children have Maths homework on Shape which needs to be completed by this Friday (8th).
Buffet Homework was sent home last Friday. At least 5 tasks to be completed by 8th March.
Continue with Times Tables Rock Stars/Spelling Books/Reading.
Many thanks for your continued support.
Willow Class will be walking to Tarpots today to undertake a traffic survey as part of their Transport topic.
Parents/Carers/Grandparents are VERY welcome to join us. See you at 1.10pm!
