This has been another hard-working week for the pupils in Chestnut Class! Firstly, the children completed their mouth-watering Big Writes on their favourite food dishes. They were then kept very busy completing a set of test papers, in readiness for the Sats, with all the children showing good progress. They rounded off the week by completing their eye-catching Lichtenstein art-work ready to be proudly displayed.
Chestnut Class has been busy food-tasting this week, in preparation for their food-related Big Write. The children were encouraged to sample a variety of mouth-watering and interesting (!) food products.
The pupils of Chestnut Class have continued to work hard in both Maths and Literacy. We have covered mean, mode and median in Maths. We have also looked at ordering equivalent fractions. In Literacy, we have spent time on comprehension and punctuating direct speech.
Chestnut Class used the donated coins to create a picture of the school mascot ERIC for the Coin Art Competition. The class raised an extra £17 for Comic Relief with their coin donations. Well done Chestnut Class!
The children wore some fantastic costumes for World Book Day. In the afternoon they enjoyed sharing books with some younger children from Maple Class.
We are continuing to work hard, revising all areas of Maths and English for our fast-approaching SATS tests!
